Choose one of two service options: a one-time, send-in upgrade service or a convenient exchange service. See below for model compatibility and service requirements.

All models also require an HP Tuners’ Dodge Smart Access Cable.

Custom Tuning for GPEC5-Equipped Dodge, Jeep & RAM Vehicles

Interested in tuning your new Dodge vehicle? HP Tuners is proud to offer a complete diagnostics and custom-tuning solution via the OBDII port for select 2021+ Dodge, Jeep, and RAM vehicles equipped with the GPEC5 PCM.

This controller can be found in the following supported vehicles:

  • 2023-2024 RAM 1500 5.7L eTorque
  • 2022-2024 Jeep Wrangler 3.6L
  • 2021-2024 Jeep Gladiator 3.6L

Special Note: We also support the ZF8 transmission (TCM) found in these models! No upgrade service required. Simply license your TCM for (4) credits and tune!

Upgrade Service Details

This upgrade service is performed at our US headquarters, however all ECMs are first shipped to our EU address for initial screening. Due to this, please expect longer ship times due to international shipping.

Send us your original PCM to be upgraded for tuning in VCM Suite. This is a one-time, send-in service that takes 2–4 business days to upgrade at our US location (excluding international shipping times). You must physically remove your PCM and ship it to our UK location for servicing.

Exchange Service Details

Instead of upgrading your original PCM, exchange it with a pre-upgraded PCM from HP Tuners. This requires you to send us your original PCM first. Once received, HP Tuners will ship an already upgraded PCM to you which you can install into your vehicle.

Important Note: This is a hardware service only, so no programming is included. The calibration on the PCM when it arrives (or is shipped to you) will remain unchanged.

Everything you need to tune your Dodge/Jeep/RAM GPEC5 vehicle with HP Tuners:

  1. Purchase either the Upgrade or Exchange Dodge GPEC5 PCM Service to prepare your PCM for custom tuning.
  2. All models also require a 2018+ Dodge Smart Access Cable to enable read, write, and special functions.
  3. These models are only compatible with MPVI3 devices.
    • Purchase a new MPVI3.
    • Upgrade your old device for MPVI3 here.
  4. Download the latest version of VCM Suite (BETA) for free.
  5. Once upgraded, purchase (4) Universal Credits to license your upgraded PCM.

Note: Universal Credits for licensing are not included in the cost of any upgrade service or purchase. Credits must be purchased separately.




  • Please note this service is required to tune your GPEC5 PCM controlled Dodge vehicle.
  • For the upgrade service, no programming is performed during the service. If you are interested in having your PCM programmed as well, please contact our support team by submitting a ticket before purchasing.
  • In addition to this service, all models require an HP Tuners 2018+ Dodge Smart Access Cable. We recommend you purchase this cable in a separate order to avoid delays.
  • Please ensure you are sending in ONLY a PCM. No brackets, rubber isolators, or other pieces should be included. These components may not be returned with your upgraded PCM.
  • PCMs with broken “LOCKING” tabs or connectors WILL NOT be accepted for upgrades. No exceptions.
  • This is a one-time upgrade that will not affect other operations of the PCM. The factory tools will still work for service.
