Your vehicle interface is an intelligent microprocessor controlled
unit. It converts vehicle "talk” to laptop “talk” (protocol
converter).
The interface unit is a precision device in rugged design and will
provide years of trouble free use. This does not mean your
interface can handle all situations. Never expose the unit to water
excessive heat or moisture. Never drop or hang the unit by the
cables.
Static electricity can damage the unit or cause malfunctions.
Always discharge yourself to the vehicle chassis (door, steering
column, etc) before connecting or disconnecting the interface unit.
While we have done our best to provide static protection, there is
no benefit in continually testing this protection.
Your vehicle interface is an intelligent microprocessor controlled
unit. It converts vehicle "talk” to laptop “talk” (protocol
converter) and also read 4 analog inputs and control two outputs
simultaneously. These enhanced real time features are designed work
with the VCM Scanner program. Each channels function is configured
by the user in the VCM Scanner program. Any analog input can be
configured to become a number of different data types in the
scanner.
The device output control will operate relays, lights or a
combination of both.
Turning on an output is configured in the scanner by choosing an
engine variable or A/D channel and setting the conditions for
on/off.
Please see the VCM Scanner Enhanced
IO section for more information on how to configure these
settings.

Plug and unplug the cables by holding the connectors, not the
wires.
Static electricity can damage the unit or cause malfunctions. When
the enhanced IO connection is not in use, always keep the
protection plug in place to avoid damaging the pins.
